🎧 How to Download & Enjoy Your Music

Frequently Asked Questions – L&J Records Digital Downloads

Thanks for supporting our music directly. Below you’ll find device-specific instructions to help you download, play, and (if you want) add our music to your library or playlists.

Q: How do I download and play my music on iPhone?

A: After purchase, tap the download link. If it’s a ZIP file, it will save to your Files app (Downloads folder). Open the Files app, find the ZIP, and tap it — it will unzip automatically. Tap any MP3 to play it directly from Files. You can create folders, favorites, or playlists in Files to keep things tidy. Note: iPhones don’t currently allow direct import into the Apple Music app. If you want the tracks there, transfer the files to a Mac or PC and sync them using Apple Music or iTunes.

Q: How do I download and add the music to my phone’s music app?

A: Tap the download link. Your phone will download the ZIP file or open the MP3 folder directly. If it’s a ZIP, your phone will usually unzip it automatically. If not, you can use a free app like ZArchiver or the built-in Files app. Use your favorite music player (Samsung Music, VLC, Poweramp, etc.) to play the MP3s. To create a playlist: open your music player, import the songs, and build a custom playlist. Android offers the easiest all-in-one experience for indie downloads.

Q: How do I import the songs into Apple Music on my Mac?

A: Download and unzip the ZIP file — it should expand into a folder with your music. Open Apple Music, go to the menu bar: File > Import. Select the music folder or MP3s you just unzipped. The tracks will appear in your library — fully sorted if we’ve done our ID3 tagging right 😉 You can sync your iPhone from here if you want the tracks on mobile.

Q: How do I play or add these songs to iTunes?

A: Download and unzip the file (right-click → Extract All). Open iTunes, go to File > Add Folder to Library. Browse to your downloaded folder and add the MP3s. Your tracks will now appear under “Recently Added.” You can sort them into playlists or albums. 💡 You can also drag-and-drop the MP3s directly into iTunes — it’s quick and easy.
